The scientific journal Politicus was founded in 2015 by the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky.
The scientific publishing house publishes articles on issues related to the Theory and History of Political Science, Political Institutions and Processes, Political Culture and Ideology, Ethnopolitology and Ethno-State Studies, as well as issues of other branches of political science, written in Ukrainian, English, German or Polish.
The editorial board of the scientific journal Politicus carries out an external and internal review of received articles. The editorial board of the journal consists of leading Ukrainian and foreign experts. The publishing office co-operates with many Ukrainian and foreign HEIs.
The journal editorial board carries receiving and registration of the DOI for the articles.
Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine accepted electronic versions of the scientific journal Politicus for the repository storage; they are posted on the portal of the scientific periodicals of Ukraine.
The journal is indexed in the International scientometric Database Google Scholar.
The journal is included in the scientometric Databases Index Copernicus International (the Republic of Poland), Scilit (Switzerland), WorldCat, Open Ukrainian Citation Index.
According to subparagraphs 2.1, 2.2 of the Order of Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine “On the Publication of the Dissertation Results for Obtaining Doctor and Candidate Science Degrees” dated October 17, 2012, No. 1112. The articles published in the journal correspond to publications in foreign scientific periodicals, in the field, the dissertation was performed.
The journal is oriented to scientific staff, Doctors of Sciences, Candidates of Political Sciences, lecturers, postgraduate students and students, as well as a wide audience of readers, interested in the issues of contemporary political science.
The editorial board of the scientific journal Politicus accepts scientific articles that were not previously published in other periodicals. During their designing, it is necessary to follow the current standards for printed works and requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Open Access Statement
The Editorial Board of the journal “Politicus” is guided in its work by international ethics of scientific publications and maintains a policy of open access. All articles submitted to the Editorial Office, on a mandatory basis are reviewed and checked for plagiarism.
The scientific journal provides immediate open access. Full-text access to scientific articles of the journal is presented on the official website in the Archive and Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.
All marked answers the rules of the Committee on ethics in publications – Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities.
According to conditions the authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
The Author shall transfer to the editorial board of the journal the right to spread the electronic version of the article to placement at the official website, databases, repositories, etc.
The Author shall reserve the right to use materials of the article; post electronic resources of the article on personal web resources, electronic repositories of institutes or universities where the author is employed, non-profit public access web resources. In all cases, it is obligatory to have a reference to the article or an electronic copy placed at the official website of the journal.
Like most scientific editions the journal “Politicus” works by the Creative Commons Attribution International CC-BY. It allows users to read, download, copy, spread, print, search, quote or refer to the full text of a scientific article in this scientific publication – it is obligatory to have a bibliographic reference to the paper, or a hyperlink to its electronic copy placed at the official website of the journal.
